Theory Lessons

Regardless of whether classical or acoustic guitar is being studied, basic music theory is covered during each practical class as the term progresses. All students are eventually encouraged to work on theory as a separate subject with an emphasis on taking graded exams with some of the leading examination boards. This is not compulsory but is an option if a student wishes to further their academic skills.

Please note in the Republic of Ireland  I only teach ‘practical’ leaving and junior cert. and not the theoretical side of this subject. If your school doesn’t teach this subject then there are many specific classes setup that a quick search in your local area should find you suitable classes.
